Owner and editor

DriveMetric Guide is owned, written and maintained by Joseph James Stahl, who is responsible for the site's editorial content, corrections and updates.

Purpose

Our goal is to explain storage-health and benchmark concepts in practical language. We separate product identification from our own interpretation and do not present ourselves as the developer of third-party tools.

Sources

For software features and specifications, we prefer first-party developer or manufacturer documentation when available. General storage concepts may also be checked against platform or standards documentation.

Originality

We do not mirror, frame or scrape third-party pages. Our guides add independent explanations, comparison methodology, troubleshooting structure and practical context.

Corrections

Material factual errors should be corrected when identified. Major technical pages include a reviewed date so readers can judge recency.

Testing language

We distinguish between a manufacturer specification, a controlled benchmark result and a general explanation. A benchmark from one system is not presented as a guaranteed result for every system.
